We all have them. At some point we lost some of them, realised the reality of life that would prevent us from achieving them.
Why should we have to give up what brings us joy, drives us, motivates us, moves us, makes us who we are.
How many dreams have you given up? Why did you give up? Was it friends, parents, circumsances?
Where will they be a few years from now when you lie in your bed at night, sleepless coz of the thoughts in you mind saying "If I....... What if I....?" Think about it!
Did you give up your dreams because they weren't worth it? Do you think it was a mistake to to have them in the first place?
These are the thoughts of man who has refused to conform to the "impossibilities" of life and let go from his dreams. I don't care how hard its going to be I'll do it because I was born to be there and nobody else cando it but me.
The difference between the successes and failures of this world is not that the successes dared to dream, but that they dared to follow their dreams to the bitter end. And I'm not speaking of Financial succes but of people living out their dreams.
Question to you is are you a succes or a failure? There is no middle ground.
Its your life, live it.

Most dreams are crushed by the cruel reality of life. It's sad but that's the truth, it's had to stay positive in the face of imminent failure.
u pose an interesting question..at times i feel like such a failure and loser...at imes i feel like a success. I guess whether or not we pursued our dreams and maybe at times even compromised on them..we should never judge on what could have been its the here and now that ONLY matters.
Tomas: I'm definitely a success and the reason is I have dared to dream and set achievable goals not fantasies. At my age I have achieved what I said I would 5 years ago. A word of caution though my perception of sucess is not what is universally considered as success by most:-), so to the average person, I'm may or may not not be a success but to me, I'm where I always I envisioned I would be at this point in my life and I'm loving it.
Nice post!
daring to dream is one thing, but to actually try and realize that dream is quite something. but its worth a try, better than the feeling of "what if..."...great post once again, short and sweet!
I'd rather pursue my dream and fail, rather than say that dream is out of my rich!
A little faith and a little courage
..thats all you need.
Life is a pursuit of dreams... Success or failure to me are a continuum rather than a black or white... I can be a success at a oint in time and a failure thereafter... I believe success lies in that journey of continually pursuing your dreams and inching closer and closer towards them... At the end of the day you will always find taht success is all about relationships and the strengting of those that are key...
Sorry for blogging on ur blog...
@ milo: its cool no beef
Wow, true they say without dreams we have nothing, actually very little if et al anything. Zilch.
I was talking to a good friend yesternight and we was talking about living for the moment. I might not be so good at it as yet but dude taught me something. We gotta be the best we can today, not just say it, but be it;live it(as u said)
We have to blieve in ourselves, cling to our dreams and not let go coz success lies in trying one more time and of cos the greatest failure is not to try.
Everyone who has made it has had a dream, nothing comes easy we gotta strive so one day wil kick back and do memory lane.
Great piece on dreams Tomas.
I'm loving your blog :)
dream i have lived most of mine i have achieved most basically by my standards i am sucessful and it gives me stength and hope to have dreams and a drive to achieve them helps me remain focussed. But at time we have to give up dreams whcih i thin k we sholdn't more like defer them. Heard of the guy who always wanted to be a pilot so whn he had made enought to cater for the costs at around 50 he went back and he's a pilot now so its all in the mind. Great post.just
